ABOUT ME
Lindsay Peterson
Owner, Grant Writer
I grew up in northern Dickinson County in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and have continued to cultivate my roots here.
I graduated from Northland College in Ashland, WI in 2015 with a BS in Environmental Geosciences, with an emphasis in Water Science.
Since then I've been working with and coordinating the Wild Rivers Invasive Species Coalition (WRISC), a local non-profit invasive species management partnership operating in the UP of Michigan and NE Wisconsin.
I have always had a deep passion for the outdoors and am grateful for the opportunities I've had to implement conservation projects in the communities and natural areas I grew up with!
MY EXPERIENCE
10 years of non profit project management
In my time with WRISC, I have gained and developed a variety of skills, but grant writing has always been the forefront. I've written and managed numerous grants, pulling in more than $2 million in grant funds for the organization!
You can check out my Portfolio Page for more details and samples.
While I've gotten my fair share of grant writing experience and have learned what makes a strong proposal, I've discovered that the secret to securing consistent funding is in developing a long-term plan.
Having a long-term strategic program plan will help you align your goals while seeking out funding well-suited for what you want to accomplish.
This is where Perennial Planning comes in...

CULTIVATING SUCCESS
per·en·ni·al
/pəˈrenēəl/
adjective
-
lasting or existing for a long or apparently infinite time; enduring or continually recurring.
Perennial Planning & Consulting was born from the combination of my passion for natural systems and the need for consistent, cyclical, and sustainable funding that seems to be a primary goal for many organizations.
I know the grant funding world can be tough, but perennial plants are tougher, blooming despite harsh winters and supporting an ecosystem and natural community much larger than themselves. Just as perennial plants return each spring, I want your success to be recurring, sustainable, and capable of supporting your project goals.
Together we'll cultivate your perennial success!
